Marketing Transformation Consultant

CvE is seeking a confident Principal Consultant well-versed in the digital transformation landscape. Partnered with Canton, CvE advises brands on their marketing transformation agenda through combining advisory and consulting and then co-piloting the necessary transformation by providing on-demand, hands-on expertise across media, technology, and data.

You will be:

A subject matter expert within the digital media landscape and can demonstrate expertise in digital marketing transformation as well as consulting engagement management. A capable and engaging teacher, able to inspire, educate and influence senior marketers. A key member of the Marketing Transformation practice including capabilities ranging from Operating Model, Right Housing, Adtech/Martech, Digital Transformation & Marketing Science.

In terms of managing your projects and time, the MT Consultant will allocate their time aligning to the following ONE, TWO, THREE ENGAGEMENT model:

  1. One LEAD project – leadership of ONE MAJOR project like a Yum, Nokia or Boots
  2. CONTRIBUTING to TWO consulting projects – contributing meaningfully to TWO other consulting projects where someone else is the project lead
  3. THREE WIP’s – prospecting Three potential net new consulting client engagements and nudging them forwards towards closing.


Subject Matter Expertise in at least TWO of the above disciplines and a broad T-shaped expert in digital marketing and marketing effectiveness.

Contributes towards the development of marketing transformation programs and consulting engagements for large strategically important domestic and global clients.

Owns senior relationships with key stakeholders client-side to achieve goals through acting as a trusted advisor and maintains ongoing relationships with senior marketing, IT and operational stakeholders brand-side.

Generates key hypotheses and independently structures work at project level and manages resources to be able to delight customers and get the transformation ‘over the line’.

Prolific content producer and contributor to the future capability, thought leadership and frameworks required to do the work needed.

Business Development

Drives growth and revenue for CvE – specifically targeted with bringing a minimum of $250k of consulting revenue within calendar year (attributable to the Lead Consultant).

Ownership of proposal generation and client material/content creation.

Competent networker and network builder.

Contributes towards the development of digital strategies and transformation programs for large strategically important regional and global clients.

Implements communicates strategies to achieve goals by acting as advisor to stakeholders and maintaining ongoing relationships to foster sustainable, long-term relationships and work.

Rigorously and logically identifies client pain points/challenges and diagnoses scenarios for solving these problems.


Identify the need for external contractor resources or partner involvement and recommend how these resources can be engaged and managed within profitable measures.

Leads teams and delivers a program of work with multiple projects/tracks across a range of clients.

Animates and leads client engagement during key project meetings.

Reviews content produced and status reporting/insights to ensure accuracy quality and timeliness.

Assumes overall project management responsibilities for projects.

Identifies project staffing resources needs and develops, defines and reviews required analyses including building the narrative and roadmap.

Ensures that consulting engagements and resources are managed to ensure profitability.

Management / Mentoring

Support CvE leadership by ensuring mentoring and developing of junior team members

Supports CvE colleagues and Goodway teams in client relationship management and structuring delivery.

Develops strong cross-functional and collaboration skills to be able to orchestrate necessary individuals and teams to deliver excellence to the customer.

Personal Brand/ Talent Acquisition

Contribute to the development of the CvE brand through thought leadership and development of your own personal brand as a ‘trusted advisor.’

Actively participate in the recruitment of new talent & contractors needed to deliver work.

Experience required:

As part of a diverse and motivated team, you will be involved in a range of projects with clients covering topics such as:

  • Innovation: Operating Model, Data Strategy, Agile Marketing Digital transformation, CX/UX, Marketing Effectiveness Auditing, Tech Stack Auditing, Retail Media Network
  • Growth Marketing: Search, Social, E-Commerce, Programmatic, CRO
  • Strong understanding of Media, Digital platforms, CRM, Data, Adtech and Martech
  • Ability to work within set frameworks

Ideal but not essential experience:

Proven experience architecting, implementing and managing organisational change.

Experience and knowledge of organisational design principles and strategy and architecting and

implementing organizational change.
